KKMP Foundation, in partnership with Island Mayors, seeks out grants to provide much-needed services, education, food security, and public safety to Island communities. Together, we are committed to building resilient societies by enhancing local resources, preserving indigenous cultures, and promoting sustainable development.
Another pillar of our service to the community is our focus on utilizing the ocean for growing food. Our island footprint encompasses more ocean than land in our Pacific Communities. We aim to provide healthy nutrition for our island communities in conjunction with local partners. Together, we are committed to building resilient societies by enhancing local food production by utilizing our ocean resources and promoting sustainable development, as our ancestors have done for thousands of years
Our commitment to environmental justice and resiliency in the Pacific region is rooted in our recognition of our unique and fragile ecosystems. We understand the critical importance of safeguarding these natural resources for future generations.
We aim to foster a harmonious relationship between our communities and the environment by integrating traditional knowledge with modern sustainable practices. Our efforts focus on mitigating the impacts of climate change, protecting biodiversity, and ensuring that the voices of indigenous populations are central to decision-making processes. Through education, advocacy, and collaboration with local and global partners, we are dedicated to building resilient ecosystems that can withstand environmental challenges while promoting sustainable development in the Pacific region.
